As a section 501(c)(4) organization, Right Way is permitted by law to engage in a limited amount of candidate advocacy indirectly supportive of its policy agenda. Right Way will support those candidates and policymakers that share our constructive conservative policy views and a commitment to constructive conservatism and oppose those that do not. The goal of this portion of Right Way’s activities is to support its issue advocacy by shaping a more constructive and productive “governing majority” that can advance future conservative legislative accomplishments more successfully.
Right Way’s candidate advocacy will include:
- Identifying and analyzing the positions of policymakers and candidates to assess their support for constructive conservatism, and informing the public by “scoring” elected officials on their voting records in support of or opposed to constructive conservative legislative votes;
- Working closely with like-minded organizations to support policymakers and candidates that embrace constructive conservatism;
- Conducting independent expenditures against policymakers and candidates that oppose constructive conservative policies and solutions.
